Combine Goal and Purpose

The purpose of the combine pledge sheet is to have players raise money in support of their annual combine performance on May 14, 2016 at American Falls high School.  The funds raised directly benefits their player and their participant in the football program.  Players will get pledged based on their repetition in the bench press (push-ups for youth and freshman).  Sponsors may pledge either a fixed amount (such as 50.00) or a pledge per repetition (such as $1 per repetition/push-up).?

Goals for the event:

1.             The goal of the lift-a-thon is to promote the football program and the athletes that have worked so hard during the off-season

2.             Evaluate the physical strengths and needs for players to evaluate level of participation (Youth, Frosh, JV, and Varsity) and to set clearer season goals

Event description

1.             Bench Max repetitions- Players will be broken up by positions to test their endurance on the bench press or push-ups. Players will press their selected weight as many times as possible.

a.             Varsity Linemen (Bears)- 165lbs.

b.             Varsity Backs/Linebackers (Lions)- 145lbs.

c.             Varsity Receivers/Defensive backs (Cheetahs)- 115lbs.

2.             Squat- Players will be broken up by positions to test their endurance on squats. Players will press their selected weight as many times as possible.

a.             Varsity Linemen (Bears)- 255lbs.

b.             Varsity Backs/Linebackers (Lions)- 220lbs.

c.             Varsity Receivers/Defensive backs (Cheetahs)- 205lbs.

3.             20-Yard Dash- Timed 20-yard dash (2 attempts)

4.             Vertical Leap- Highest distance for standing vertical leap (2 attempts)

5.             Pro-agility 3 cone drill- Timed shuttle testing speed and change of direction (2 tries)

Permission Slips- each player participating must have the following permission slip and $20 entry fee completed prior to participating. Cash or checks payable to: American Falls Football. 

*T-Shirts will be provided to all Combine Participants. 

**Additional Shirts will be for sale during the combine.

Summer Workouts begin June 7, 2016 at 7 pm

American Falls Football Summer conditioning will begin June 7, 2016.  Workouts will be 7 pm till 9 pm Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday's.  This will be a strength and conditioning program with install.  It is important that all players attend. . This schedule will remain the same unless changed by coaches with the week of the Fourth of July off.  This is scheduled ahead of time in order to plan vacations, work schedules, sports schedules, etc.  So no excuse for missing workouts unless emergencies arise.

ISU Football Camp June 13-16 2016

The American Falls Football Team will be attending the ISU Football camp June 13-16  We will only attend the last two days.  The first two days (13-14) will be at Blackfoot High School to practice with Blackfoot and Powell WY.  Wednesday and Thursday (15-16) we will be at ISU.  Times at Blackfoot TBD, See coach Cade for ISU Schedule.  This is a full padded camp.  Equipment will be issued during first week of summer workouts. Again this is scheduled ahead of time so you can plan with work, vacations, etc. cost will be 85.00 per player,(this is a discounted rate compared to 230.00 for four days). Any issues talk to coach Cade.

Sevens 7 on 7 and lineman challenge June 25-26, 2016 Pocatello

The American Falls Football Team will attending the Sevens 7 on 7 and lineman challenge in Pocatello on June 25-26.  This is the first annual 7 on 7 tourney in SE Idaho.  25 teams competing from the area.  This will not require an overnight stay.  The cost will be 40.00 per player. There is a JV and Varsity bracket.  See coach Cade for details. Again scheduled early to work out schedules.  Please plan accordingly.

Montana Tech 7 on 7 National Guard Tourney July 18, 2016

The American Falls Football Team will be attending the Montana Tech National Guard 7 on 7 championships on July 18.  This will require an overnight stay which will be free in the dorms. This is a great opportunity to compete and showcase in front of college coaches.   The cost will be 15.00 per player to attend which will include a camp shirt.  Details will be with coach Cade.  Again, this is scheduled ahead of time, so plan accordingly with work, vacations, etc.  Questions ask coach Cade.
